We are currently looking for smart, entrepreneurial, tech-savvy women or men with overwhelming initiative to help support our Toronto Youth Programming.
As a Youth Programs Ops Lead, you will empower youth by facilitating opportunities for them to learn beginner-friendly technical skills -- all while building your network of technical and tech-savvy people in your city, gaining experience planning large and small workshops and events, and making a bit of money working part-time for a non-profit doing cool work.
If you’re interested in joining the Ladies Learning Code team as a Youth Operations Lead, please get in touch with us!
Ladies Learning Code was founded in Toronto in August of 2011. We’re an incorporated not-for-profit organization, and we run popular workshops for women and youth who want to learn beginner-friendly programming and other technical skills in a social and collaborative way. Our first workshop sold out in less than a day, and over the past three years over 12,000 women (and men) have participated in a Ladies Learning Code workshop. We also run programming for girls ages 8-13 under Girls Learning Code (that's where you come in!) that encourages them to leverage technology as a creative tool to change the world.
Responsibilities: Help us with the day-of logistics for our workshops.
NOTE: This is a part-time role. Typically we would need Ops Leads support at workshops on Saturdays or Sundays from 12:00-4:30pm, on occasional Fridays, and on school PA Days from 8:00am-5:00pm.
