This role pertains to the development of software and maintenance of systems, primarily for the internal CEO (Chief Experience Officer) website. Reporting to the Director, Operational Systems, you will develop the primary web applications driving the website – including, but not limited to, CEO money requests and actuals, scheduling and payroll. You will help create, and improve applications for our CEOs, so they can focus more on running great trips!
Architect and implement flexible data models that can reflect complex product requirements
Work with internal departments to identify requirements and maintain a development schedule
Assist with providing operational infrastructure, maximizing uptime and ensuring data integrity
Apply UX best practices to provide workflows that maximize internal productivity
Manage and launch Django applications used for maintaining our CEO systems
Write unit tests for the new code you create
Ensure your code is designed with maintainability in mind; know and follow PEP8
Monitor ongoing performance of applicable software
Work with other software teams to improve system communications and performance
Python and Django knowledge is required
Understanding of the full web stack – from server to browser, Front and back-end knowledge
Programming experience in an open source environment
SQL familiarity; you can hand code moderately complex SQL queries, but only when needed
A short list of new technologies that you’re excited about and would like to learn
University bachelor's degree in computer science or related experience
