Office Coordinator

Connected Lab

Connected Lab is the leading and fastest growing connected software company in North America. As a product innovation and delivery firm, we’re on a mission to build better products. You likely have our clients apps on your homescreen, their products in your home, or wear their devices every day to stay connected.

We’re looking for a smart, kind, and reliable Office Coordinator who is eager to make a big impact on our Operations team. You will wow our clients and candidates in the lobby with your approachable, kind, and professional reception. Your superhuman organizational skills and ability to anticipate other’s needs will add joy to our office and the everyday lives of our team. If you’re ready to grab this unique opportunity and help us build the best work environment, we want to work with you!

You have:

  • Experience in administration, reception, or operations - ideally in a technology environment
  • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - you’re well spoken and outgoing
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks while remaining cool as a cucumber
  • A love for details and ensuring that your co-workers are well cared for (you know their favourite beer, what snacks get them excited, and the best sushi takeout)
  • A strong work ethic and humble attitude - always willing to help out with day-to-day office coordination, such as organizing recycling, stocking the beer fridge, or decorating for parties
  • A strong sense of urgency and teamwork to ensure the office runs smoothly
  • Solid knowledge of Google Apps, Excel, and general office equipment
  • A friendly, fun-loving personality with the ability to connect with others quickly (from the CEO of a Fortune 500 company to new grads interviewing)

  • We’re proudly employee owned with stock option grants for all full-time employees
  • 4 weeks vacation + personal days
  • Generous extended health benefits (dental, vision, prescription, massages and more)
  • $1,000 annual Education Credit for conferences, courses, workshops, and textbooks
  • $200 annual Fitness Credit for a gym membership, running shoes, or classes
  • Generous Parental Leave program to help families welcoming new additions
  • Our ‘Disconnect’ events are a chance to get out of the office and unwind as a team (like our recent ‘Disconnect’ to Algonquin Park)
  • Weekly team socials to have fun and hangout
  • Company sponsored recreational sports teams that play every week
  • Fully stocked kitchen with snacks, fresh fruit, drinks and coffee
  • Catered Lunch & Learns and Professional Development sessions
  • An amazing team to work with as you grow your career with Connected, one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers (2017)

You’ll be working on things like:

  • Managing the reception desk by welcoming the team every morning, greeting clients and guests, answering incoming calls and handling deliveries
  • Managing the guest calendar and boardrooms to ensure meeting rooms are prepped and running on schedule
  • Coordinating catering and event details for Lunch & Learns, Professional Development Sessions, Weekly Parties, and Client Meetings
  • Ensuring snacks and beverages are fully stocked and well-displayed
  • Maintaining and encouraging a tidy and well-organized environment
  • Ordering catering, groceries, office supplies, coffee, and party decor
  • Assisting with onboarding tasks for new team members
  • Making Connected the best place to work by being a culture cheerleader (go team!) and always thinking of new and creative ways to delight and surprise the team
